THE FRIENDSHIP THAT CHANGED THE WORLD!

PART 2

Jesus had influence because of his relationships with his friends and the ultimate relationship with his father.
Jesus was able to define people by their strengths not weaknesses.
Jesus was able to be the kind of friend who thinks people are a little more wonderful than they actually are.
We need to be the same!
We need to be as happy for others success as they are.
Be a cheerleader.
Celebrate with them.
Be straightforward. Say what you mean.
Don’t let them guess what you are trying to say.

God designed Friendships to be a “Search and Rescue Team”

Mark 16:7
7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.'

Jesus’ messenger told the woman “Go tell his disciples and Peter.”
Jesus saw his friend fail. You know Peter was torn apart. Jesus searched Peter out.

This is how Jesus treated His circle of friend.
We all have a circle of friends.
These are people we’re called to reach.
Some of us have large circle of friends.
Some of us have small circle of friends.
It doesn’t matter how many people are in your circle, it matters what you do with it.

1. Your circle of friends is your entrance to fulfilling God’s calling!

2. Your circle of friends increases when you work at it.

3. Your circle of friends gets bigger and so does your heart for your friends.

Matt 4:23-25-
23Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. 25Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.

See how the circle expands?
Care about the people around you.
It isn’t a powerful pastor that is going to change a city.
It’s not going to be some great program.
You know what is going to do that?
A CHURCH OF FRIENDS!
