It's just been a while since I have written a new post. That got me thinking. (And you know how dangerous that can be) There is probably a lot of stuff that I can say "It's been a while since..." so maybe the best thing I can do now is make a list of those things that I would like to do but haven't been able to get to "in a while".
I love list. When I can mark something off my list, I feel as if I have accomplished something. Lists keep me organized. Lists also give me goals I can hopefully reach. Then I can cross them off my list. (I just love that part.)
I’m sure I am not the only one who has some old business that I should get to, so I hope you are encouraged by this verse in the book of James chapter 4
14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. (New Living Translation)
So here are some of the things on my list:
1. 1 Take my wife out on a date.
2. Take each of my daughters out on a date.
3. Call some of my old friends and relatives that I haven’t spoke to “in a while”.
4. Go fishing.
5. Play a round of golf.
6. Spend a whole day just reading God’s word and being in prayer.
7. Have breakfast together as a family (we do well at dinners).
8. Give the dog a bath.
9. Spend a day in the sun.
10. Go through stuff in the garage to see what I can get rid of.
I hope you take time to get to your list before it becomes “A while”.
